ABOUT ALEXA MGMT

WHAT WE DO.

Our development services include site selection, securing project financing, consultant management, construction oversight and pre-opening services.

Our management philosophy is founded upon employee satisfaction, which results in guest satisfaction, and in turn results in happy ownership. When people are proud of where they work it permeates every interaction.

WHO WE ARE.

Welcoming the new & honoring the local.

Alexa MGMT was formed to build hospitality experiences that cater to seekers of the new, the local, and the authentic when they travel. As owners, operators, and guests we’ve always gotten the most out of the unexpected connections you make while traveling. For us, designing the experience, getting to know the traveler, and sharing insights into the local landscape is the reward for being in this industry. We seek to support local artists and makers, to build and operate sustainably, and earn our coworkers’ and customers’ appreciation and loyalty every day.

  • Bree

    Chief Executive Officer

Raised in hospitality on the beautiful banks of the Frio River, Bree has created and delivered guest experiences since she began cleaning cabins and checking in guests at the age of eight. With a civil and environmental engineering background, her data-driven approach to projects benefits owners and investors alike. Bree’s education, consulting experience and natural leadership acumen has provided a solid foundation for effective construction and hotel management. Beautifully balancing hard numbers and authentic service has proven the perfect union of skills to build and lead Alexa Management.

  • Sarah

    Office Manager

Sarah is the longest tenured Alexa Management team member and has played an integral role in its growth and success. Sarah's willingness and ability to take on a wide variety of tasks has given her the opportunity to work in property management, tenant relations, accounting, Human Resources, front desk, F&B, and more. Her gift of making everyone feel welcome and important makes hospitality a natural fit. If you meet her once, don't be surprised if she remembers your astrological sign and bakes your favorite dessert on your birthday. Sarah moved to Austin from Lake Jackson to attend UT and, while she has lived in Austin ever since, her loyalty to the Astros has not wavered.

  • Cole

    Chief Operating Officer

A hotelier at heart, Cole lives for the smiles and 'thank yous’ of guests, colleagues, and owners. A serendipitous situation drew Cole into a front desk role in 2008 and he's never looked back. With experience that covers the gamut of positions in full service, large box hotels (including riding longhorns to events), it became evident that sales and marketing were his calling. Prior to joining Alexa Management, Cole served as a Major Market Sales Manager for Hyatt Lost Pines, managing sales and corporate relationships. Another stroke of good fortune put Cole and Bree together at a table swapping ludicrous hotel stories, and the rest, as they say, is history.

  • Heaven

    Sales & Events Manager

Growing up in Bastrop, now an Austin suburb, Heaven’s first job was working as a Recreation Attendant at a four-star resort. What began as simply a job surprised her by turning into a career. Hindsight proves to be 20/20 yet again because people and relationships are Heaven’s passion. Her positivity and creativity along with being detail-oriented, timely, and service-oriented is a rare combination that is evident in her rapid career growth. Heaven has worked for renowned hotels including The Driskill, Miraval and Hyatt Lost Pines. Our team at Alexa Management and our clients love working with her on whatever event that is coming to life at one of our properties.

  • Kristin

    Brand Manager

One of the few on the team that made their way to Texas from elsewhere, Kristin spent her early years in Southern Maryland before becoming a Cheesehead. It was in high school in Green Bay that she started developing her customer service and sales experience, taking notice that she loved and thrived in connecting and relating emotionally with others. Kristin also has a natural curiosity for understanding how things were made, how they work, and how they affect other things within a system or procedure. Kristin stayed in Wisconsin for college at UW-Oshkosh, where she earned her degree in Graphic Communications. When given the opportunity to move to Austin she jumped on it, though never having visited before, and in short order had established herself as the Marketing Manager for a local favorite, Mandola’s Italian. With her hands-on operational and marketing experience, Alexa is excited to have her tell you our story.

  • Diana

    Director of Operations
    Central Texas

El Paso native, Diana, has decades of hospitality experience under her belt. She immediately showed her value in operations before spending a few years at the tip of spear in growth and task force projects. One fateful day she was introduced to The Ruby Hotel & Bar in Round Rock before it was complete and took the reins as its initial General Manager. She has been the only GM The Ruby and its guests have known, opening Round Rock’s only boutique hotel just a year before 2020’s pandemic and those lasting effects. Now, The Ruby is an entrenched part of the Round Rock community. Diana’s success has catapulted her to take over all Central Texas operations for Alexa as we stepped into Salado at the Stagecoach Inn & Restaurant. We could not be more excited to have her continue to spread her wings, and influence, throughout these two wonderful communities (and more in the future)!

  • Savannah

    People Operations Manager

Trading in the Hamptons for the Hill Country, Savannah is passionate about all things humans and hospitality. Her academic background in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Marist College provided her with a solid foundation to understand the intricacies of managing people within an organization. It was her post-graduation venture of opening and staffing a hotel/restaurant that truly ignited her passion for the hospitality industry. Savannah's approach to hospitality is heavily influenced by the ideologies of industry luminaries such as Will Guidara and Danny Meyer. She understands that true hospitality goes beyond just providing excellent service; it's about creating a genuine connection and making each individual feel valued and cared for. For Savannah, it's not just about the transactions; it's about the emotional impact and lasting memories that are created.

  • Rachel

    Director of Operations
    West Texas

Originally hailing from Minnesota, Rachel then spent a few years in El Paso before travelling East to Far West Texas to take this role. With the desire to deliver exceptional service with no reservations, she built her stellar reputation in sales and events before taking the reins of her first hotel as a General Manager in 2021. Rachel’s passion and skillset for creating and planning an event and seeing it through to the end now encompasses the whole operational experience of three historic hotels in a part of the country that somehow feels both historic and modern. In a delightful twist of fate, overseeing the Holland Hotel is now her second opportunity managing a famed Henry Trost hotel. We could not be more excited to see what her experience, talents, care, and attention-to-detail will do with our phenomenal West Texas portfolio.

  • Laree

    Operations Consultant

One of the first things Laree will tell you is that it’s pronounced like a “fancy Larry.” Alexa MGMT and Laree had been collaborative for a couple of years before this position came into existence as she has been an artist at PrintPRESS. As the relationship and Alexa MGMT’s needs grew it was also discovered that she worked for years in Legal Compliance Operations for Facebook and has a strong background with startups and small legal firms. Then, as the pandemic did for so many of us, Laree made a significant life change and for the past four years she has been working as a full time artist. In addition to the operational background, her network and ability to naturally find and create connections is an important part of Alexa MGMT’s commitment to support local businesses in all of the communities that our hotels operate. When Laree isn’t at work you can find her on her farm or scouring local rock shops for rare and unique minerals.

  • Tarey

    Hotel Finance Manager

With 20 years of experience in Hospitality Accounting, Tarey has truly done it all - starting as an AP clerk and climbing the ranks to become a Controller. Her experience runs the gamut from branded, big-box hotels to more unique, independent projects. Tarey's attention to detail is unparalleled and the spreadsheets that blow peoples' minds are typically done one-handed while sipping her coffee early in the morning. She then took her expertise to the next level for a few years in launching her own consulting business, providing invaluable insights and advice to hotels and resorts. On the personal side, Tarey is a proud parent of four grown children who are currently either married or serving in the military. At home, her heart is full with her big, lovable dogs who keep life lively and fun.
